I’ve never seen one of the big ones come down. I have a mental bet on which one is next. It worries my neighbors to the north who drive that section of the road.
It would be interesting to be predicting the next fall, but hoping it never happens especially if it’s your daily commute. I’m always amazed at the people who stop on a section of road where signs are posted not to, due to risk of rock fall.
I wouldn’t want to be standing there when gravity played it’s hand.

I only walk there, but the falls seem to always occur at night or when no one is around. Some boulders are 4’ in diameter!

That’s big! What are your theories on the falls only occurring at night?

Well, I don’t really know that for a fact, since I just notice them in the morning when I walk the dogs.

I wouldn’t want to be nearby as a boulder finds its new resting place!
Lovely verse, Eilene.

Thank you, Dale. I’ve never seen or heard one fall, but it’s a regular occurrance!

Must be rather impressive.

I imagine so! (And happy to stick with imagining, not witnessing)

Is the snow melt alleviating your drought at all?

No, not at all. We did get a nice rain on Wednesday, about 3/4″.

Hopefully, you’ll continue get more rain. The ground in your photo looked very dry.

Perhaps… The forecast 10 days out has a chance, but it could evaporate before then!
